World's smelliest cheese
Scientists at a Bedfordshire university have found what could be the smelliest cheese in the world.
Vieux Boulogne, a soft cheese from northern France, beat 14 other whiffy varieties in tests.
Experts at Cranfield University - who led the research - used an "electronic nose" to analyse the cheese odours, along with a panel of 19 human testers.
English Cheddar, aged between six and 24 months, was one of the least smelly cheeses tested, along with Parmesan.

so says BBC News
Cranfield is the village that I grew up in, so that's really rather bizarre to think they are doing that research there.

She is not an artist.
So she says. But my friend Vicki is posting some of her photography online. It's pretty good. Go check it out, and comment on it too!

and updates
OK, with my homegrown comment system having issues constantly fighting comment spam, I'm turning to Blogger's own comments, complete with CAPTCHA. I've got all the old comments kept, thanks. But there's no easy way to add commenting ability to all the old posts, but feel free to comment away.
In addition, I decided to give my blog a new look. It will likely go through a few changes before I'm done.

LJ barfage
Apologies for barfing on your LJ friends page if that's where you read this. I suspect that it's partly because I recently went through the upgrade of blogger. But I don't know for sure. Hope it doesn't happen again. I hope.

St. John, MO 63114
314-423-4800
Directions: Near the corner of St Charles Rock Road and Brown, less than a mile west of I-170.
Take I-170 to St Charles Rock Road and go west. Go past the QT, through the lights at McKibbon, through the lights at Brown (passing the Walgreens), and you'll see Gamer Ground on the right, it's actually on a bit of a "frontage road" at that point.
Watch for and take the very next right (Eminence Ave), just before Winterowd Florists, and opposite the St John Municipal Center. Take another IMMEDIATE right (you'll basically make a very tight U-Turn) onto St. Charles Lane, and you'll be heading east parallel to Rock Road. Watch for a large parking lot on the left next to the A1 Nail place. Gamer Ground is on the other side of A1 Nails in the same building.
Please come play with us!! (and please share this info with others!)
